THE FAYRE 2.00pm – 9.00pm

Come and enjoy the Fayre on Gostrey Meadow from 2pm. Parking in town will be very full and also for ecological reasons we hope people will walk or use public transport if they can. Once it’s time to go home, please respect the local residents and keep noise to a minimum.

THE CARNIVAL PARADE starts at 6.00pm

All the participants in the parade start and finish from the Upper Hart car park (UHCP), which is open for people to set up floats etc from 8.30am, but not to park. This is also where the judging and winners will receive their certificates.

The roads are closed at 5.30pm to create a safe and enjoyable parade for both participants and spectators.

If you are travelling by car, please note the road closures from 5.30pm-8pm, blocking access for traffic through the town centre. Please note the Green Car Park signs on the map.

Once again we will be organising a main parade through the Town as well as the stalls in Gostrey Meadow and as you have so very kindly offered your voluntary services as a Parade Marshal in the past, I was hoping that you might be willing to take part again. Those that have joined in years gone by will be familiar with the role and how much fun we have on the day; please tell your friends and family – we need all the help we can get!

For those for whom this might be their first time working with us, there will be experienced Team Leaders to organise volunteers on the day, no special training is required, full instructions and high visibility tabards will be supplied and you will be part of a team that helps to bring joy to Farnham and raise funds for local charities.

All we need at this point is just an expression of willingness to help on the day between 5:00pm and 8:00pm.

Further information will be sent out nearer the time and if you have any immediate questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me using the details below or visit HOW TO GET INVOLVED – Farnham Carnival 2024.

On behalf of the Carnival Committee, Farnham Lions, Farnham Hedgehogs, the whole Town and the surrounding area, thank you very much indeed; we look forward to working with you again to stage another truly wonderful event!
