THE FAYRE
Join us for all the fun of the Carnival Fayre at Gostrey Meadow this year! The Fayre at Gostrey Meadow will be packed with entertainment, food stalls, games, and activities for all ages. Whether you’re watching the Parade wind through town, enjoying live performances, or trying your luck at the various stalls, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The Fayre runs from 2.00pm until 9.00pm and for much of that time you’ll be entertained from the stage by terrific bands, both local and from further afield, in a wide range of musical styles. There’s always a variety of food stalls and drinks tents to satisfy all tastes and all age groups. And there is also a large children’s play area, including entertainers who’ll keep the younger visitors fully entertained.
Please be advised that no glass is allowed at the event.
With all this, we can guarantee that there’ll be something for everyone – truly all the fun of the Fayre!

Rattling Catflaps
The Rattling Catflaps have been rattling around Surrey and Hampshire for well over a decade, delivering their own blend of groove and grunt with a cheeky grin. They love jangly melodic guitars, vocal harmonies, bolstered by a glorious rhythm section. The style varies from atmospheric ballads, through boppy indie pop, to solid rock.
Be sure to wear your dancing socks!

Mr Muddle
A popular feature at last year’s Carnival, Mr Muddle brings his own unique blend of magical mayhem including a disappearing elephant! He returns with more of his enthralling and ‘muddlesome’ magic – he might even be found twisting a few balloon curiosities.
More innovative tricks and quick wit to entertain both young and not so young.

A Carnival favourite, Mr Magic brings you his popular ‘kid friendly’ Punch & Judy show with plenty of laughs and excitement. More shocking and hilarious antics from Mr Punch and Mrs Judy.

Sleeping Dogs
Sleeping Dogs will take you on a musical journey from classic high energy rock to melodic soul and outright funk. Whether they play the Muse version of “Feeling Good”, The Foo Fighters “My Hero” or The Santana Classic “Smooth”, the powerful vocals of frontman Simon Cromey soar out above the swirl of the Hammond organ, the searing guitar and the driving rhythm section. They will keep you rockin’.

Farnham Maltings
Come and listen to the ‘Moonlight Belles’, the close harmony trio that gets the party started in Key Players’ production of ‘The Great Gatsby’ at Farnham Maltings 21st -23rd August. Farnham Maltings is an arts and cultural venue (and registered charity) located in the heart of Farnham. Come and find our stand at the Carnival Fayre for themed face painting and to find out more about our fantastic summer events and activities.

Flatliner
Named after a former guitar player who thought he was having a heart attack (he wasn’t, it was just indigestion!). Making their first Carnival appearance, Flatliner will get your blood pumping with a chest crushing blend of rock and pop covers.
So have your aspirin handy, defibrillators charged and stand clear for a high voltage jolt of Rock !

Stagecoach
Stagecoach Farnham & Alton is a local performing arts school offering weekend classes in drama, dance, and singing for children and teenagers in the Farnham and Alton area. The school focuses on building confidence, creativity, and communication skills through performance, alongside regular productions, holiday workshops, and opportunities to perform on professional stages. Led by Principal Becky Silverstein, the school runs classes at Farnham College and recently expanded with a new Saturday school in Alton.

A Carnival favourite, led by Brodie Mauluka, they provide a mix of old and new blues, rock, reggae, soul and African music. Their special blend of warmth and musical excitement will add to an afternoon of musical fun.
